Hi Karl! Thank you for your message! Ebony Forest and the Seven Coloured Earth are located on the same site, but they are managed by two separate entities, so the visits are completely independent.

You do not need to pay the entrance fee for the Seven Coloured Earth if you only want to visit Ebony Forest. When you arrive at the Chamarel Geopark entrance, simply let the staff know that you're heading to Ebony Forest. You'll be allowed through without paying the Chamarel fee, and the payment for Ebony Forest is done directly at their reception.

Enjoy your visit, the guided tour at Ebony is a wonderful experience!

Great information on many interesting parts of visiting Mauritius. I wonder if you can advise in something I'm having difficulty finding? If you want to take the guided tour in Ebony forest, is it first necessary to pay the entrance fee to 7 coloured earth? I'm not interested in seeing this but would like to go to ebony forest. Thanks
