The Best Sea Excursions in Mauritius
Mauritius is a prized destination for tourists worldwide, largely for the beauty of its lagoon!
So, you can’t fully enjoy the country without going on at least one boat excursion during your holiday.
Mauritius is surrounded by several small wild islets that you can explore.
There are various boat excursions from different departure points all around the island to discover these natural wonders.
Choosing can be tough, which is why I am here to help you sort it out by discussing the 6 unmissable sea outings during your stay in Mauritius:
1. Excursion to Île aux Cerfs
Île aux Cerfs is a little slice of heaven located off the East coast, surrounded by white sand beaches and turquoise waters.
It is divided into two parts separated by a sand strip: the South islet is designed for leisure. There, you’ll find several restaurants, shops, water sports facilities, and a large golf course.
For those who love peace and tranquility, the North side of Île aux Cerfs is much more unspoiled, and you can easily find a spot to settle away from the crowds.
To get to Île aux Cerfs, there are several options:
1. The Catamaran Cruise
In addition to the stopover at Île aux Cerfs, this cruise includes lunch onboard and swimming breaks in the lagoon.
Another advantage of this option is that there are multiple departure points.
You can depart from Mahébourg if you’re in the Southeast, or from Trou d’Eau Douce on the East coast.
This excursion is one of the most popular in Mauritius, so you should book your spot as early as possible! Just click on one of the buttons below:
- Book your cruise to Île aux Cerfs from Mahébourg:
- Book your catamaran trip to Île aux Cerfs from Trou d’Eau Douce:
2. Another option: the speed-boat excursion
For a more thrilling crossing, I recommend the cruise to Île aux Cerfs by speed-boat! This one departs from Blue Bay (near Mahébourg).
The itinerary includes a barbecue and swimming sessions, with a bonus visit to L’Île aux Phares and a snorkeling session in the beautiful Blue Bay Marine Park.
To book your spot on the boat, click here:
2. Cruise to the Northern Islets
Another must-do sea excursion in Mauritius: the trip to the Northern Islets!
Setting sail from Grand Baie, you’ll board a catamaran to visit the three large islets named Coin de Mire, Île Plate, and Îlot Gabriel.
During this day at sea, you’ll make two stops at Île Plate and Îlot Gabriel, where you can relax on the sand, swim, or take a stroll.
On the return journey, you’ll make a stop at the natural aquarium around Coin de Mire to observe the abundant underwater wildlife. Snorkeling equipment is even provided!
And once again, the organizers have thought of everything: the excursion includes both breakfast and lunch served on board.
So wait no longer and book your excursion without delay by clicking on this button:
Depending on the season, you might even have the chance to encounter dolphins and whales during this day in the lagoon!
3. Sea Excursion to Île aux Bénitiers
This is yet another uninhabited islet waiting for you on this Mauritian cruise: Île aux Bénitiers, located on the West side this time.
The islet is 2km long and is home to beautiful white sandy beaches lined with coconut trees and casuarinas.
Here’s what’s on the day’s agenda:
- crossing the azure blue lagoon
- several swimming and snorkeling breaks
- a visit near “Crystal Rock”, one of the natural wonders of Mauritius!
This activity in Mauritius is very popular, so if it tempts you, you should book now by clicking on this button:
4. Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion
Take advantage of your stay in Mauritius to meet the dolphins, whales, and sperm whales that inhabit the lagoon!
Of course, I’ve selected only eco-friendly excursions for you, trips that will let you observe these wonderful animals without disturbing them.
To enjoy this incredible experience, head over to Rivière Noire coast to venture out on a speedboat.
You’ll have the chance to fulfill your childhood dream and swim with dolphins. And you might even come across sperm whales and migratory whales!
You have a choice between two excursions:
- a 3-hour sea trip for snorkeling with dolphins (€46/person)
- a 5-hour excursion encountering both dolphins AND whales and sperm whales (€92/person)
An emotionally charged day full of unforgettable memories awaits you with this activity (and a superb way to brag to your office colleagues 😉 )
One last thing: this outing is extremely popular and the speedboat can only take 8 passengers, so I strongly recommend you to reserve your spot without delay. To do so, simply click below:
- 3-hour dolphin swimming cruise (snorkeling equipment included):
This activity is so cool that it’s a GetYourGuide Originals certified experience! This means you get a satisfaction or money-back guarantee!
- 5-hour sea outing for snorkeling with dolphins and whale watching:
5. Glass Bottom Boat Ride in Blue Bay Marine Park
Not so keen on diving but still want to marvel at the underwater wildlife?
No problem: I suggest a glass bottom boat tour! You’ll stay dry while enjoying a stunning view of the fish and coral right beneath your feet!
This unique ride takes place in Blue Bay Marine Park, THE spot in Mauritius for seeing a plethora of colorful fish.
For more information and to book this sea excursion (which also includes a picnic on a small wild island!), simply click the button below:
6. Canoe Tour in Mahébourg
As I’m keen to offer you authentic activities in Mauritius, I’ve added this canoe ride in the Mahébourg lagoon to the list!
It’s a fantastic trip between Mahébourg and Blue Bay, featuring again snorkeling and swimming stops in the itinerary (you can never have enough!).
And as the icing on the cake: if you keep your eyes peeled, you might even spot some sea turtles!
Click the button below to treat yourself to this unforgettable canoe day in the lagoon:

Bonus: Boat Rental in Mauritius
If you want to live your best life during your stay and prefer to be independent, I have a great idea for you: hire your private boat to explore the lagoon at your own pace!
For this, I recommend using Samboat, which for me is the best boat rental service in Mauritius.
For those who have a boating license, you can go ahead and book your boat alone. If not, choose the option to book with a skipper!
The skipper will take you to see the most beautiful beaches and the most stunning islets, following the itinerary you’ve decided on together.
Whether it’s a sailboat, speedboat, zodiac, or catamaran, Samboat offers a wide selection and impeccable service at the best price.
For example, you can rent a catamaran for several days and indulge in a dream cruise off the Mauritian coast with your friends and family!

Water Activities in Mauritius
Let’s now dive into my selection of the best water activities to enjoy in Mauritius.
Whether you’re looking for an adrenaline rush or just want to have some fun in the crystal-clear waters of Mauritius, there are plenty of options available, including diving, kitesurfing, kayaking, and parasailing.
I’ve gathered the top experiences just for you, right below:
1. Scuba Diving
Wondering what to do in Mauritius? You should definitely plan at least one scuba diving session!
Mauritius is known for the beauty and richness of its marine life, and it would be a shame not to take advantage of it during your vacation.
Among the diving spots to prioritize, I recommend Bellemare, Blue Bay, or Grand Baie.
Personally, I experienced my first dive in Mauritius at Bellemare Lagoon on the East Coast and I can tell you I had never seen anything like it! Colorful fish by the hundreds, beautiful corals, and even a sea turtle that I got the chance to observe up close!
If you also want to live this incredible experience, you can book your introductory dive at Bellemare by clicking below:
If you’re an experienced diver, I’ve got just what you need. I recommend these two diving sessions in the marine parks of Blue Bay and Grand Baie:
- Book your exploration dive at Blue Bay (South-East) by clicking on this button:
- Click below to book your dive in the lagoon of Grand Baie (North):
If you’re planning to dive in Mauritius, I invite you to read my complete guide to this activity: Scuba Diving in Mauritius – The Complete Guide
2. Snorkeling
There’s another way to discover the wonders of Mauritian waters without getting too wet (just a bit): snorkeling!
You might have heard about it; it involves swimming at the surface with a snorkel, a mask, and possibly a pair of fins.
Snorkeling is a great family-friendly activity in Mauritius. The equipment is easily accessible and you can practice it pretty much anywhere!
If you’re looking for the best snorkeling spots in Mauritius, I recommend:
- Blue Bay Beach (South-East)
- Pointe d’Esny Beach (South-East)
- Bellemare Lagoon (East)
- Flic-en-Flac Marine Park (West)
- La Cuvette Beach (North)
To learn more about the essential beaches of Mauritius, I invite you to read my complete guide: Top 11 Most Beautiful Beaches of Mauritius
3. Parasailing
Here’s an activity you don’t get to do every day: soaring over the ocean on a parachute!
If you’re not afraid of heights and want to observe the beauty of the lagoon from above, you should book your parasailing session at Trou d’Eau Douce.
It’s a must-try water activity in Mauritius, especially on the East Coast and in particular at Ile aux Cerfs.
From up high, you’ll relish in the stunning turquoise hues of the lagoon while being towed by the boat.
Click the button below to book your parasailing session now:
4. Kitesurfing
Looking for another exciting water activity to do in Mauritius? Try kitesurfing!
This water sport involves surfing on water with the help of a kite.
If thrill-seeking is your idea of a perfect vacation, then I definitely recommend kitesurfing.
And don’t worry, you don’t have to be a pro surfer to enjoy it; Mauritius is a country where the sport is very popular, especially among beginners!
Around Morne Brabant, there are kitesurfing lessons and sessions available for all skill levels.
With Morne Kite School, you’ll learn how to prepare your kite, set up your board, and follow safety procedures. Once you feel comfortable, you’ll learn how to stand up and ride the waves and wind!
To learn more and book your session, go here: Kitesurfing Lessons at Morne Brabant
Close to Morne, in Bel Ombre, there’s also a kitesurfing course available for beginners. You can choose between three packages: 2, 6, or 10 hours (spread out over several days).
If this exciting course interests you, you can book your spot using the button below:
5. Canyoning in Mauritius
Change of scenery: leave the blue ocean behind and welcome to the wild rivers of the Mauritian canyons!
What I’m suggesting is a unique adventure in true “Indiana Jones” fashion.
Combining hiking and climbing, canyoning is an aquatic journey that includes abseiling down waterfalls, navigating through rugged paths, jumping, and traveling down rivers… all in amazing natural surroundings!
I have 3 canyoning spots to recommend for your stay in Mauritius (click the buttons below to book your session):
- at the Tamarin Falls (the site known as “7 Cascades”). It’s a well-known natural site on the island and probably the most beautiful place for canyoning in Mauritius:
- at Eau Bleue, near Mahébourg and Blue Bay, the region is known for its absolutely stunning river and waterfalls.
- and finally, near Flic-en-Flac, at Cascavelle in the Zabeth Canyon. It’s the least difficult and therefore perfect for a fun family activity:
6. Seabob
Here’s a unique activity idea in Mauritius: a ride on a seabob!
Not familiar with the name? Maybe you’ve seen or heard of it before.
It’s essentially a small, motorized board that you hold onto to glide through the water, either underwater or on the surface.
A seabob can reach speeds of up to 18 or 20 km/h, and believe me, it feels pretty exciting in the water!
If you are intrigued by this little sea-vehicle, you can indulge in a seabob excursion in Grand Baie. Booking is very simple, just click below:
7. Kayaking
Kayaking is another must-do water activity in Mauritius!
Not just on the sea, but also along the island’s beautiful rivers.
Here are the 4 best kayaking expeditions in Mauritius:
- The first one takes place on Amber Island, where you’ll navigate through a mangrove forest (lunch included!). More information and booking below:
The other three are in Tamarin, to the West:
- With this one, you can observe 3 famous mountains of the region while paddling on the river:
- For a romantic moment, you can also book a 2-hour kayaking excursion at sunset using this button:
- And finally, this one is done in the lagoon, alongside dolphins. Yes, you read that right! Click below to book your spot:
8. Undersea Walk
The Undersea Walk is an original activity you can do in Mauritius. It involves walking underwater… yes, walking!
You might wonder, “How on earth is that possible?” Well, it’s quite simple: you wear a diving helmet keeping your head dry, but your feet are on the seabed!
At a depth of 4 meters, you can stroll peacefully among the fish and corals.
It’s Aquaventure at Bellemare that offers this one-of-a-kind experience, perfectly accessible to non-swimmers and children alike.
(And the best part is that you look absolutely fantastic during the process :D. See for yourself:)
Sporting Activities to Do in Mauritius
Got the urge to move and want to combine tourism and sports during your stay in Mauritius?
Then this section is definitely for you.
And if you’re looking for fun activity ideas for the whole family, you’ll find this interesting as well.
Here’s my selection of the best sporting activities to do in Mauritius.
1. Quad Biking Adventure
Fancy exploring Mauritius on a quad bike?
The reserves, forests, and other natural sites on the island are particularly well-suited for this kind of adventure.
In Mauritius, there are quite a few quad biking excursions available. Once again, there’s no need to be a pro: you’ll be accompanied by a guide and safety measures are always a top priority.
Among the best quad biking trails in Mauritius, I recommend the one that crosses the Bel Ombre natural reserve. Here you might encounter various endemic plant species and animals such as black flying foxes, monkeys, and more! A great activity you can book below:
The Southeast of Mauritius is another breathtaking region. So hop on your quad and enjoy a high-speed adventure amidst its most famous sites: the Natural Bridge, the Royal Palm forest, and the Cambuse beach among others.
Make sure to book this excursion in advance by clicking on this button:
In the same area, I also recommend this excursion offered by DS Adventures. It follows a trail along the wild coast, stretching from Blue Bay to Souillac. Click below to book your spot for the date of your choice:
2. Via Ferrata
If you enjoy climbing and adventure, you should really try Via Ferrata in Mauritius.
It’s a top activity for a thrilling experience and to have an unforgettable day with friends or family.
I recommend the Mamzel Babeth via ferrata route at Cascavelle near Flic-en-Flac. A 6-hour journey featuring fun obstacle crossings, monkey bridges, and even a zipline finishing in a pool.
Plus, a picnic prepared by the instructors is included!
This activity is open to children aged 8 and up.
To enjoy it, book your spot without delay by clicking below:
3. Fat Bike
Would you like to enjoy a beautiful hike in Mauritius without too much effort? Here’s the ideal activity: a Fat Bike tour!
With its large tires, the Fat Bike is comfortable on all kinds of terrain and comes with electric assistance, allowing you to visit the most beautiful places in Mauritius with ease!
So why not discover the stunning South coast of the island while pedaling at your leisure? Click here to book your 4-hour fat bike tour in the South of Mauritius:
4. Zip Lining at Vallée des Couleurs
Looking for an adrenaline rush during your vacation in Mauritius?
Then why not treat yourself to a zip-lining experience!
You can try this activity at Vallée des Couleurs in the south of the island.
This natural park features Mauritius’s longest zip line, which is also one of the longest in the world with its 1500 meters of cable!
The park offers 5 levels of courses based on your experience (and bravery).
You can book your spot for the course of your choice by clicking on this button:
5. Mountain Climbing
Do you love hiking and are you physically fit? Then mountain climbing is a great activity to do in Mauritius.
This vigorous outdoor activity is best done with a guide, as most of the trails are poorly or not at all marked.
Guided hikes are offered on the four most famous mountains of the island:
- Morne Brabant
- Le Pouce
- Pieter Both
- and Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire (the highest peak in Mauritius!).
If you’re looking for spectacular panoramas and aren’t afraid of climbs, then I really encourage you to conquer these famous Mauritian summits!
The Best Nature Outings in Mauritius
With its nature reserves, waterfalls, endemic forests, and untamed coastlines, Mauritius is a destination made for nature lovers.
During your stay in Mauritius, you should plan some excursions into national parks and preserved sites.
To help you define your holiday schedule, here are my top picks for the best nature activities in Mauritius:
1. Black River Gorges National Park
It’s the largest nature reserve on the island of Mauritius.
Spanning over 6700 hectares, the Black River Gorges are home to a diverse range of wildlife and flora, including 9 endemic bird species and over 300 plant species.
Several hiking trails traverse the park, allowing you to explore this rich environment.
If you want to immerse yourself in the heart of Mauritian nature, this is the best place to be and it’s definitely a must-see during your stay in Mauritius.
The best way to keep from getting lost and to learn a lot about the different species is to book a guided hike through Black River Gorges. You can do it directly through this button:
2. Ebony Forest
In the Southwest of Mauritius, the Ebony Forest reserve has been open to the public since 2017, raising awareness about biodiversity conservation.
This endemic forest, once decimated for its ebony wood, is currently being restored across more than 50 hectares.
There’s a really nice little museum at the entrance that summarizes the history of Mauritius.
Then, you set off for a visit in the heart of the reserve, where more details about the project and the species present are discussed.
There are three types of visits available at Ebony Forest:
- a self-guided tour
- a guided tour on foot or in a 4×4
- a tour focused on bird watching
- and another where you plant trees.
To learn more about Ebony Forest and prepare your visit, I provide more details here.
3. Chamarel Waterfall
Another must-do nature activity in Mauritius: a hike to the Chamarel Waterfall!
With its 100-meter drop, it is the tallest waterfall on Mauritius Island.
It’s truly impressive when you stand in front of it.
To see it up close, I invite you to opt for the 3-hour guided hike. You will follow the river’s course before arriving at the base of the falls and enjoy a refreshing swim.
Book your guide by clicking below:
4. The 7 Cascades Hike
This excursion is one of the most famous in Mauritius.
Still in the West of Mauritius, the Tamarin Falls (also known as the 7 Cascades) promise an outing in pure nature amidst an extraordinary setting.
Depending on the time you have available, there are 2 options:
Don’t start this hike without a professional guide. The paths are not marked at all, and it’s easy to get lost.
One last thing: it’s a challenging hike that awaits you, with rock climbing and dizzying passages. I do not recommend it for seniors, people who are not physically active, or young children.
5. Île aux Aigrettes
Off the coast of the village of Mahébourg, in the Southeast, lies the charming little Île aux Aigrettes, which I recommend you visit during your vacation in Mauritius.
This protected islet is only accessible through guided tours organized by the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation.
The islet is home to a number of remarkable plant and animal species, including the pink pigeon and the Aldabra giant tortoise.
The guided tour allows for the exploration of Île aux Aigrettes and provides extensive knowledge about its history and the ongoing conservation program.
The departure point is at the Pointe Jérôme embarkation area, just outside Mahébourg.
Given the limited availability, I strongly advise you to reserve your spot in advance by calling +230 631 2396.
6. Bel Ombre Nature Reserve
I’ve already mentioned above the quad excursion, but there are other ways to explore this beautiful nature reserve in the South.
For example, you should consider:
- the buggy ride
- safari-style excursion
- the guided trekking
- or even the hike to Frederica Waterfalls.
7. Eau Bleue
It’s a gorgeous and less-known spot among tourists: Eau Bleue is one of the most beautiful natural outings in Mauritius!
Eau Bleue is the name of the river flowing near Cluny, creating a series of waterfalls that plunge into azure blue pools.
You can find more information on how to get to Eau Bleue here.
You can discover the various waterfalls by following the river, but also by opting for a canyoning tour (which lasts about 3 hours).
Book your canyoning session at Eau Bleue by clicking below:
8. Vallée de Ferney
Here’s another Mauritian nature reserve to discover, this time spreading over 200 hectares of lush valleys and forests.
The Vallée de Ferney is located just 10 minutes from Mahébourg and is home to several endemic species, including the famous Mauritius Kestrel, which you might be lucky enough to spot during your visit.
There are several hiking trails and 4×4 tours available. More info here.
9. Sunset at the Trois Mamelles Mountain in Flic en Flac
Near Flic-en-Flac, stands the Trois Mamelles Mountain with a peak reaching 629 meters.
At the top, you can feast your eyes on an unrivaled panorama of the Indian Ocean.
I definitely recommend you go there for the sunset!
Lokal Adventures offers an amazing excursion at this time. You climb with a guide, then relax at the summit during the Golden Hour while enjoying a typical Mauritian meal!
Once the sun has set, it’s time to head back down the mountain in the dead of night with your headlamps, adventurer style!
This unique experience can be booked in advance by clicking right here:
Affordable Activities in Mauritius
Rest assured, you don’t necessarily need to spend exorbitant amounts to fully enjoy Mauritius.
There is so much to do that everyone can find their bliss regardless of their budget!
Here, I have compiled a small list of affordable activities in Mauritius.
1. The Beaches
Aaah the sun, white sand, and turquoise waters: the beaches are of course the leading activity on the island! It’s probably even the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your holiday in Mauritius.
There are so many beaches, each more beautiful than the last, that you don’t need to spend a penny to have a dream vacation.
Just relax and let yourself be lulled by the sound of the waves, or dip into the turquoise water. There’s nothing like it for escaping the everyday grind.
To learn all about the most beautiful beaches to see in Mauritius, I invite you to read my dedicated article: Top of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius + location map
2. Hiking in Mauritius
Hiking is another great budget-friendly activity to do during your stay on the island.
As you’ve seen in the rest of the article, there are quite a few trails in Mauritius!
In the mountains, in the national parks or along the rivers, hiking in Mauritius means immersing yourself in the heart of extraordinary natural landscapes.
Many trails require a guide for safety reasons, but there are also plenty that you can do by yourself. For example:
- The hike in the Black River Gorges, in the West
- The ascent of Le Pouce mountain, near Moka in the center of the island
- The climb of Morne Brabant, in the Southwest
- Forest hike in Bras d’Eau National Park, on the East coast.
If you want to know more about the hikes to do in Mauritius, I have prepared a complete guide for you! Read it here: Hiking in Mauritius – Routes+Tips (article to be published).
3. The Tea Route
This is a beautiful cultural activity to do in Mauritius!
The Tea Route takes you on a journey to discover the art of making delicious Mauritian tea.
The visit starts at Domaine des Aubineaux, where you’ll see the tea salon, the gardens, and the distillery.
It continues at Bois-Chéri to tour the tea plantations as well as visit the factory and museum. As a bonus, enjoy a tasting session with a beautiful panorama of the south of the island!
The Tea Route ends 20 minutes later in Saint-Aubin. There you’ll find the sugar factory, the rum distillery, and especially the “Maison de la Vanille,” the place where vanilla, which makes Mauritian tea so special, is produced.
These 3 places can be visited independently of each other and the entrance fees are not very expensive.
You can also hire a guide-driver for a VIP experience of this visit over a full day, with meals included and pickup directly from your hotel! To book this visit, click below:
4. Chamarel Geopark
In the southwest, the village of Chamarel is home to THE must-see natural wonder of Mauritius: the Seven Coloured Earths.
For only 11€ per person, you get access to the Geopark that houses these magnificent rainbow-colored dunes as well as the Chamarel waterfall located right next door (the highest waterfall on the island!).
Not to forget the Turtle Park, where you can meet six magnificent specimens of a species that can live up to 150 years!
You can buy your entry ticket for Chamarel Geopark at the best price by clicking on this link.
Other Activities in Mauritius
Looking for more activity ideas to do in Mauritius to fill your stay?
Well, I’ve got more in stock for you!
So let’s wrap up this guide with food tours, day-long guided excursions, and seaplane flights.
1. Food Tours in Mauritius
Visiting a country is also about discovering its cuisine! And it’s impossible to resist Mauritian street food (at least for me 🙂 )
For that, the best plan is to treat yourself to a food tour in one of the island’s emblematic cities!
Farata, dholl puri, gâteaux piments, steamed dumplings, fried noodles, and other local flavors await you during a delicious guided culinary tour!
Your guide will show you around the city on foot and tell you its story while having you taste the best local specialties.
You can book your food tour online by clicking the links below:
- Gastronomic Guided Tour in Port-Louis

2. Seaplane Flight in Mauritius
If you’re looking for a unique activity to do in Mauritius, I recommend treating yourself to a seaplane flight over Morne Brabant!
It’s the only way to admire a natural wonder unique in the world found in this part of the island: the “Underwater Waterfall” or Mauritius Underwater Waterfall!
You can choose between a 15, 24, 40, or 80-minute flight.
It’s an exceptional experience that I really recommend treating yourself to during your vacation in Mauritius.
Again, I recommend that you book your flight in advance because this activity is very popular:
You can also book a flight as a couple by clicking here: Couple’s Seaplane Flight over Mauritius
The “underwater waterfall” isn’t actually a waterfall in the traditional sense. It’s actually quite an astonishing optical illusion. You can read more about it in my dedicated article: Underwater Waterfall in Mauritius – What is it? Where and how to see it?
3. Day Tours with a Private Guide-Driver
Do you love to have everything taken care of without any planning? Then you’ll adore the day tours with a private guide-driver!
Your guide will drive and accompany you throughout the day to visit Mauritius’ most iconic places.
The advantage is that you don’t have to worry about driving, and you get to enjoy the explanations and stories the guide shares about each location!
There are guided tours available in all corners of Mauritius. Below, I’ve selected the coolest ones for you:
- Tour of the Southwest region (Chamarel, Baie du Cap, Grand Bassin, Trou aux Cerfs…). Click here to book!
- Another excursion in the Southwest, which includes Alexandra Falls and the Black River Valley. More info here.

- A full-day excursion to discover Mauritian crafts, including the making of tea, sugar, and rum. Click here to book.
Travel Insurance for Mauritius: My Advice
Many travelers mistakenly think that healthcare in Mauritius is affordable and that they don’t need travel insurance. But in reality, the public healthcare system is fragile and the slightest consultation in a private clinic can be very expensive!
That’s why it’s essential to get travel insurance before you leave, offering good medical coverage.
To travel safely, I recommend the following two insurances (both include epidemic coverage – like Covid-19, which is very important!)
To subscribe, it’s very simple, you just need to click on the orange links below:
- ACS AMI Globe Partner: Medical insurance and repatriation
- Assur Travel Summum: Premium insurance (medical, repatriation, baggage theft, flight delay, cancellation, and more!)
And that’s it for this guide to the best activities to do in Mauritius!
